What are filings?

Fillings are used to treat cavities caused by tooth decay or trauma and are often restored with composite resin.

How often should I see the dentist?

The frequency of visits depends on your individual needs, we recommend seeing the dentist every six months.

What causes bad breath?

Bad breath is usually caused by improper oral hygiene, such as food particles that remain in your mouth and are broken down by bacteria. Smoking and tooth decay can also cause bad breath.

What can I do if I have a dental problem after hours?

If you have pain or other dental problems after hours you can call the office at 812-254-7550 and follow the automated prompts. If you have severe pain or swelling, a fever or other signs of an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

How can I take care of my teeth?

We recommend that you brush your teeth at least twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste, floss at least once a day and avoid sugary food and drinks. You should also brush your tongue to remove food particles and reduce plaque.
