Meet Our Staff

The staff at Deem Dentistry provides patients with quality dental care they can trust to achieve a healthy smile. Located on West Van Trees Street in Washington, IN, we have been providing patients of all ages with cosmetic and general dentistry services since 1982.

Dr. Austin Deem

I graduated from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2018. I loved growing up in Washington, and I knew that I wanted to return home and practice dentistry with my dad after I finished school. During the summer of 2018, I moved back to Washington with my dog, Penny, and I began practicing at Deem Dentistry. During my free time, I enjoy boating, playing golf, and cheering on the Hoosiers. Something that you may not know about me is that I coach the Washington Catholic High School girls’ soccer team!

Dr. Darrell Deem

I am retired! Sort of.

After forty years of practice I am retired from a set schedule. I will keep my dental license current and will come in as needed to lighter the load or to cover for Dr.Austin when he is on vacation.

It is such a comfort to have Dr.Austin take over the practice because I know how kind and conscientious he is. I am a proud father and as a retiring dentist, I can’t express enough the importance of having confidence in your successor to continue the standard of care and compassion for the patients I have loved for the past forty years.

Rene B., Office Administrator

Hi, my name is Rene, and I am the Office Administrator for Deem Dentistry. I have been with the practice since 1992. I live in Washington with my husband, Joe. We have three daughters Alicia, Emily and Kelly, and eight grandchildren. In our free time we enjoy boating. Something you may not know about me is… In April of 2017, my husband and I, and a couple of friends started a not-for-profit to take care of Oak Grove Cemetery!

Corbin A., Appointment Secretary

Hi, my name is Corbin Adams. I live in Vincennes with my husband Logan. We have 3 children, Sydnie, Griffen, and Gatlin. In our free time we enjoy taking family golf cart rides with our dog, Charlie. Something you may now know about me is I have a cosmetology license and enjoy doing my friends and families hair.

Lisa, Lab Tech

Hi, my name is Lisa, and I am the Lab Tech for Deem Dentistry. I have been a part of the practice since 2002. I grew up in Alfordsville, but I live in Washington. I am married to Randy and we have three children Travis, Crystal, and Tammy. We also have two granddaughters. In my free time, I love taking care of my granddaughters, baking, and working in my flowers!

Something you may not know about me is… I am a cake decorator!

Jane, Expanded Duty Dental Assistant

Hi, my name is Jane, and I am a Dental Assistant. I am married to Mark, and we live in Washington. We have two adult children, Mark and Alyssa, and two grandsons. I have been a dental assistant in this office since 1982, and I have enjoyed being a part of improving the smiles of our patients and their families for generations now! In my spare time my husband and I enjoy spending time outdoors, and visiting with our grandsons! Something you may not know about me is… I enjoy target shooting!

Angelica, Dental Assistant

Hola! My name is Angelica Arvin and I am a dental assistant. I started with the Deem Team in May of 2021.
I am bilingual and grew up in Texas! I am married and we have one child. Something you may not know about me is that I like to watch UFC!

Rachel, Certified and Expanded Duty Dental Assistant

Rachel here, Happy to be working with the Deem team since 1994! I am married to Josh and we have two children Silas and Lillie. Our family enjoys boating and fishing, and I love watching whatever sport our children are playing. Something you may not know about me is… This is the only job I have ever had!

Autumn, Dental Hygienist

Hello, I’m Autumn, and I’ve been a dental hygienist with Deem Dentistry since 2000! I reside in Loogootee, and I have four children Addyson, Ayden, Anistyn, and Anderson. I also have two stepsons Carson and Brock, with my husband Kelly. In my free time I love to spend time with my family and friends! Something you may not know about me is… My family and I love spending time at the lake!
